PETALING JAYA: Join the exhilarating Keruing Trail and canopy walks at The Star's Green Day 2009 celebration this Sunday at the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) in Kepong.

With the "Go Green, Live Green" theme, in conjunction with World Environment Day, visitors can also pick up recycling tips on conservation as well as buy environmentally-friendly goods.

They will also be entertained by prominent artistes such as Farah Asyikin and Fazli Zainal from Malaysian Idol and Aizat from Akademi Fantasia.

FRIM, the venue partner, will conduct canopy walks at 9am, 10.30am and 12pm as well as tree-climbing demonstrations at 10am, 11am and 12.30pm.

The RedFM's Morning Breakfast Crew will promote its "Shake Our Hands to Win 10 Grand with JD & Dilly".

The event, sponsored by Bonus-Link and Philips, is open to the public free from 8am to 3pm but do register early at The Star's booth on that day.

Please bring your own cutlery and container to savour the myriad local favourites dished out by FRIM vendors and Ayamas' Meals on Wheels, and be prepared to take home your garbage.

It is best to take public transport as parking bays are limited and come in green to show your love for Mother Nature.
