There are two integral systems to this solution – Monier CoolRoof, an energy release system, and Monier SolarRoof, an energy acquisition system.

Monier CoolRoof uses the technology of construction, heat reflection and ventilation as a natural way to prevent excessive heat from building up in the house. Without the application of mechanical devices, the elements used in Monier CoolRoof are Monier Roof System, Monier RadenShield, Counter Battens, Monier Compactroll and Monier Pest Guard.

The first layer of heat reflection in the Monier Roof System is through the body structure of the Monier roof tiles.

The use of Monier RadenShield, a high performance radiant barrier as an underlay, reflects the radiant up to 97% while counter battens create a larger air passageway as well as air insulation gap to carry away hot trapped air between the roof tiles and RadenShield.

With its high-ventilation and water-repellent fleece, Monier Compactroll acts as a ventilation outlet, allowing hot air to escape as opposed to mortar which traps the hot air.

Monier Pest Guard promotes maximum air inlet while preventing birds and pests access under your roof.

On the other hand, Monier SolarRoof converts solar energy. Its two key components are Monier Solar Water Heating System and Monier Toplight.

Monier Solar Water Heating System reduces the use of electricity by maximising the use of solar energy to generate hot water, thus minimising the impact on the environment. It also eliminates potential electrical hazards. Research has shown that you can save up to 40% on your water heating bills.

Monier Toplight (a translucent roof tile) illuminates your home with natural sunlight, minimising the need for artificial light and energy.
