Hotline: Hot under the dog collar

September 26, 2008 Categories: Hotline

Sara says residents in Jalan Perlak in Sri Petaling have been having sleepless nights due to the incessant barking of a neighbour・s dogs.

・The neighbour has three unruly dogs that bark loudly at all times of the day and night,・ she says.

・Most of the other neighbours have tried talking to the dogs・ owner but our pleas have fallen on deaf ears. Even worse, the dogs are sometimes let out of their compound. They then bark and chase children,・ she says.

・This has been investigated before and complaints were lodged, but no action has been taken so far.・

City Hall spokesman Hassan Azahari says that the authority would attend to the problem and check on the previously lodged complaints.

He says that officers will be sent to check on the dogs and if they are found to have been causing a nuisance in the neighbourhood, they will issue a warning notice to the owner.

"The dogs can also be taken away if the owner doesn’t have the necessary pet licences or fails to comply with the licence requirements," he says.

However, if the owner has met all the requirements for keeping the dogs, he will be given a warning.

A Bark Collar is a safe, effective and humane way to train your dog not to bark too much.
Clinical studies conducted by the College of Veterinary medicine of Cornell University have proven that Spray Bark Collars are TWICE as effective as shock collars! Sonic dog barking collars are virtually ineffective compared to spray.
